How long have you worked at Hexter? This is my 10th year working at Hexter.
What does a day in the life at work look like for you? I love getting to work early (between 6:45-7:00). The first thing I do is look to see which teachers/staff is going to be out and if they have a substitute or if I need to plan coverage. Once 7:30 hits and we open the doors, then it is non-stop for me until 4:00. Some of my daily tasks include keeping Principal Smith's calendar and scheduling her appointments, ordering supplies, processing employee payroll, monitoring campus budgets, Title I Compliance Documentation, processing fundraising requests, and updating the school website and calendar. Of course, these are not all done every day, but I break them up throughout the week to work on them.
What does being a part of Hexter mean to you? I absolutely love being part of Hexter; it is family to me. I grew up in the neighborhood and my brothers, son, and daughter all attended Hexter. I have met so many amazing families that I now call friends. I couldn't imagine working at any other campus.
What do you like to do in your spare time? I love to cook, read, and binge watch murder mystery type series. I also love spending time with my son, Christopher, and daughter, Annabelle, who attend Bryan Adams. I like to watch my daughter play Volleyball.
