Hexter Hawks October 2025 Newsletter
Message from the President

Hey Hawks!

As September winds down, we want to take a moment to reflect on an incredible kickoff to the school year and celebrate some big wins—none of which would be possible without YOU, our amazing Hexter community.

Highlights from the Month

We launched the year with a splash at our Welcome Back to School Pool Party, where students and families connected, reconnected, and cooled off before diving into the year.

We proudly celebrated the formation of our 6th Grade Student Council, giving our oldest Hawks the opportunity to step into leadership and help shape the student experience at Hexter.

Our first General PTA Meeting set the tone for the year ahead—thank you to everyone who showed up, spoke up, and signed up to support our shared goals.

Hexter Spirit Night at Maya’s Mediterranean was a hit! Thank you to all who came out to enjoy great food and fun—all while raising funds for our students.

We also kicked off the tradition of our inaugural Day of the Raccoon—a lighthearted and memorable day that brought joy to our students and gave our campus a playful boost of school spirit.

And last but not least, a huge thank-you to everyone who contributed to North Texas Giving Day. Your generosity directly fuels the programs, events, and support we’re able to provide all year long.

Looking Ahead:

The Next Hexter HOWL – October 25th
This is THE biggest event of the fall and one of our school’s largest fundraisers. We need volunteers of all kinds—from set-up to booth hosts to cleanup. Whether you have 30 minutes or three hours, we’d love your help making this an unforgettable afternoon for our kids.

Thank you for the time, energy, and love you pour into this community. We’re off to a HEXELLENT start—and it’s just the beginning!

With gratitude,
Sean Granfield

  • Where do I enter? Ticket stations, entry, and will call are located at the front doors of the school.

  • Is there a cost to enter? No, entry is free. You’ll only need to purchase tickets if you want to play games or eat (this applies to adults too).

☕ Hospitality Update

Did you know Hospitality also helps the FLS class with their Market? Thanks to our wonderful Hexter families, we’re able to provide them with tasty treats to make the market a success!

"Our FLS classrooms are excited to announce the return of the Hexter Market—completely run and operated by our FLS students!
This hands-on experience gives our students meaningful opportunities to practice communication, social, and money-handling skills while selling snacks and drinks to staff.
We would greatly appreciate contributions of snacks and drinks to help keep our market stocked and our students learning. Thank you for supporting our students’ growth and success!
"
